Carquinez Strait and Delta, Sacramento Valley, Motherlode, Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Western Colusa County, Northeast Foothills, Northern San Joaquin Valley, and portions of Shasta County.

From 11 AM PDT Tuesday to 8 PM PDT Thursday.

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. -

WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM SATURDAY TO 2 PM PDT SUNDAY...
WHAT...Northerly winds 20-30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph over the Sacramento Valley and Foothills. East to northeast gusts up to 55 mph possible over the Sierra at higher elevations and through gaps and canyons.
WHERE...Sacramento Valley, Northern San Joaquin Valley, the Sierra Nevada, and Southern Cascades.
WHEN...From 8 AM Saturday to 2 PM PDT Sunday.
IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
